  • Retail Athlon XP2400

rayw69 was the Buyer on April 25, 2003 AnandTech

I brought a retail Athlon XP 2400 from RayW69. Every when smooth, not until I received the item. The CPU was unlocked and I was told the package is sealed. The retail box was not sealed when it arrived. The edge of the retail box was cut to get the CPU out and the bridges on the CPU were cut. I know don?ÇÖt why he have to lie just get ride of it. Letting you guys know if you do business with RayW69, you better ask the conduction of product you getting or don?ÇÖt do business with him at all

    Response from rayw69
After receiving my CPU, he claims that it was opened and played with. Of course, this is impossible since it was a sealed retail unit. Matter of fact, I won it at one of the AMD events. He also claims that the bridges on the CPU were cut by me, when anyone with half a brain knows that the bridges of an Athlon XP are cut when the CPU is produced. The bridges COME already cut. This is why people buy unlocking kits which require you to FILL IN the gaps below where the bridges are cut in order to reconnect the bridges, which allows the multiplier to be set. Despite this evidence, he insists that I cut the bridges in an attempt to overclock the CPU. Again, if you want to overclock an Athlon XP, you want to CONNECT the bridges, not CUT them. Beware when dealing with this person. Doesn't seem to be a bad guy, just not the smartest kid on the block. Lacks proficiency in the English language, so there was some trouble communicating with him. Does not know what an Athlon XP should look like, so I end up getting screwed with a bad heatware eval. =(
